Projects- Perfect Day

"The Perfect Day" was a performance about the emotional messiness that hides behind technology. It took place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco on March 2nd 2006. It was part of a group of five performances exploring the concept of perfection. The event was organized by Courtney Fink. “The Perfect Day” was a 5-minute PowerPoint presentation which revolved around a presenter who was working to clearly establish to the audience the elements of his perfect day. But as the presentation went forward his presentation began to break down due to technical difficulties. The presenter also began to break down emotionally as issues of his own perfect day were mired with the loss of his significant other to a man named Mr. Tennis, which the PowerPoint presentation was broadcasting to the audience without the consent of the helpless presenter. In the end, the PowerPoint took over and the presenter left the room.
